Gautam is the counsel, advisor and friend that people around him turn to when they’re dealing with issues in life or at work, he loves to talk, and intently listen, share stories and is always willing to help; his take on issues and their resolution is straightforward, hard-hitting and simple. 

He was the national shot-put champion, with an unbroken state record for a decade, was ranked second in Asia; he learnt acting, and took to the theatre; then learnt boxing and owned the ring; he lost some and he won some; but during all this Gautam made himself capable in a lot of things, in a lot of ways.

In his career of almost two decades with TV today, Star TV, Star News, India TV, and recently at ABP News Network as Vice President National sales, he has consistently helped organisations turnaround revenue functions, visualise goals and improvise methods to increase profitability. He can be described as the consummate media salesman and leader who along the way made efforts to not create followers but instead coach people to become leaders.

Gautam could be described as a succinct writer on his website, someone who has a dislike for jargon, and he is diligently on a mission to present to you cold bare facts, all to-the point. He often says that if he ever wrote a business book, it would be all of six pages long. He loves to share learnings on fitness, strategy, media, sales, leadership and yes, tigers; all with similar enthusiasm.

ENTREPRENEUR

Gautam is the Chairman of Professional Boxing Organisation of India, and the founder of his media and entertainment firm Big Bang Sports & Entertainment, which is a perfect amalgamation of two of his biggest passions- sports and media. In addition to his senior leadership corporate roles, Gautam is an adjunct faculty at business schools where he talks about effective business communication and selling, holds a master’s in business administration and an advanced leadership certification from IIM.
